To support the finance function of Home Fundraising Limited and provide finance support for the Head Office and 16 regional offices throughout the country.   Duties and Responsibilities posting of a large volume of purchase/expenses ledger transactions accurately and in a timely manner; ensure all invoices /expenses are properly authorized before posting monitoring expenses to ensure the company is not paying more than it should analysis and post invoices and credit notes to the appropriate cost centre reconcile supplier accounts to statements including investigating and resolving any discrepancies, resolving purchase/expenses  queries petty cash/expenses management for the regional offices and head office, preparing expenses payment runs Liaising with Payroll and HR to ensuring employee deductions are made correctly Liaising with the regional office managers to help them manage their expenditure updating bank transactions, conducting monthly bank reconciliations matching of credit card receipts/refunds and managing company credit card reporting posting journals as directed Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register ensuring agreed and reconciled to accounts monthly Any other additional duties within the finance team as and when required.   Personal Attributes; Previous experience essential An enquiring mind and a willingness to learn Organised with the ability to manage your own work load Initiative, tenacity and the confidence  to solve problems as they arise Strong communication skills (verbal and written) An ability to work quickly, accurately and meet deadlines Excellent numerical and analytical skills Experience of accounting software (Sage preferred but not essential) Good excel spread sheet skills VAT knowledge relevant for a small company Some knowledge of HMRC rules on Employee Travel, P11Ds and dispensations Please apply online and attach a copy of your CV along with your most up to date contact details and a cover letter.
