The hardest part in sales is the close, often you will here the most amazing pitch from someone and yet their sales are nowhere close to where they should be. 9 times out of 10 this due to a weak close, or no close at all.

The reason that a sales person will have a great pitch and a weak close is because you are not asking for anything until you have to close. Selling on the initial contact makes life so much easier as you can create the right impulse, so getting the close right can make all the difference.

So how to close

The best way to close is to assume it, sounds simple enough? It is, just needs the following things:

  • Confidence, be confident when closing, believe what you have is fantastic and that they are mad if they don't go for it.
  • Confidence but not pushy or desperate, you don't need to beg for the sale
  • Don't ask if they want to buy as this offers a yes no answer, ask questions which are yes / yes, below are some example
    • How would you like to pay for that
    • Which one do you want to go for
    • Do you want the bundle or the single one
So have fun enjoy your pitch and remember to close.
