Hustle and Create a Sense of Urgency
This is a good example to show how hustling and creating a sense of urgency can create excitement in your pitch.
- Prep one of the guys that you are going to ask them to pick a piece of paper up, when you ask them to do it, you want them to run over and pick it up (tell him to keep it quiet).
- Once you have got your team together ask someone who has not seen the meeting before to pick up the piece of paper you have just dropped on the floor on the other side of the room. Normally they would just stroll over very casually.
- Then ask the guy you have prepped to do the same thing, they should run over and pick it up.
This shows the difference in how you approach people while doing door to door, moving fast between doors works on several levels, you can't help but talk fast when you have been walking fast therefore creating excitement and enthusiasm. The other angle that hustling helps with is if you are moving quickly between customers then you don't have time to think about negatives, and people saying no to you.
Hustling helps create enthusiasm, helps protect your attitude and allows you to speak to more customers in turn helps increase sales.
